Not for the first time Blackjack Wines has been awarded a Silver Medal and a place in the Top 50 in The 2012 Visy GREAT AUSTRALIAN SHIRAZ CHALLENGE .The award went to the 2010 Blackjack Shiraz with the 2010 Blackjack Block 6 Shiraz not being too far behind with a bronze medal

Deep plush and fleshy,this nicely concentrated Shiraz has a balanced fruit and oak aroma,with meat-stock and toasty barrel-ferment overtones.It's luxuriously deep in flavour and the palate texture is a highlight. a loverly red wine.
90**** 2009 Blackjack Block 6 Shiraz
A bright colour and aroma reflect a fresh,youthful slightly tangy wine which looks to have a good future. The herbal fruit and walnut oak characters result in a savoury bouquet: the palate is lively and firm, vibrant and full of promise.

2009 Blackjack Block 6 Shiraz
Similar colour to standard wine, although with a touch more purple. Like its sibling 100% estate grown, but a bright more focused palate, with more spice and less leather;excellent finish 95 Points
2009 Blackjack Shiraz
The colour isn't entirely clear, suggesting no filtration. A powerful full bodied wine that derives its power from fruit rather than tannins or oak,with black fruits,liquorice and leather running from bouquet to the finish on the palate. 94 Points
2009 Blackjack Cabernet Merlot
A 90/10% bland open fermented and matured in French oak for 22 months;neither fined or filtered;clear in colour, this is an elegant wine no more than medium bodied, the tannins superfine, and defining the long,even, slightly savoury finish. 92 Points

Blackjack picked up a Silver and a Bronze at the recent Decanter World Wine Awards 1012.
The 2009 Blackjack Block 6 Shiraz received a Silver Award followed closely by the 2009 Blackjack Shiraz with a Bronze Award
